Doctors notes
According to the KNMG guidelines (see appendix), we do not provide medical information to third parties, but only to fellow healthcare providers in the interest of your health.
Why is your own GP not authorised to issue a medical certificate?
Because our practice has many expats as well as Dutch patients who spend a lot of time abroad, the general practitioner can, in exceptional cases, provide medical information to non-medics upon request. However, the information provision is always assessed for reasonableness. If we provide this information to colleagues, we can charge a fixed rate for this, € 39.51. This is because it is not part of the standard duties of general practitioner care and is therefore not part of the fixed fee of the general practitioner. You will also be charged the standard rate. The payment must be made with the assistant upon collection of your medical certificate.
